The Barony of Abergavenny was held by the Earls of Abergavenny (created Marquesses of Abergavenny on 14 Jan 1876) from 17 May 1784 until 23 Feb 2000, when on the death of John Henry Guy [Larnach-Nevill later Nevill], 5th Marquess of Abergavenny, 25th or 18th or 10th Baron Abergavenny, etc., the Barony of Abergavenny fell into abeyance between his three surviving daughters.
