The Dukedom of Albany is regarded is being suspended - it is open to Prince Hubert Richard Ernest Edward Prinz von Sachsen-Coburg and Gotha, the grandson of Hereditary Prince John Leopold, to petition for restoration of the title if he should so wish. Prince Hubert is not the Head of the Ducal House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha due his father's morganatic marriage, but this would be no bar to his claim to the Dukedom of Albany.
