On his death the Barony of Latymer fell into abeyance between his four daughters:  (1) Katharine, wife of Henry [Percy], 2nd Earl of Northumberland and later of Francis Fitton, of Binfield, co. Berkshire;  (2) Dorothy, wife of Thomas [Cecil], 1st Earl of Exeter;  (3) Lucy, wife of Sir William Cornwallis, of Brome, co. Suffolk;  and (4) Elizabeth, wife of Sir John Danvers, of Dauntsey, co. Wiltshire, and later of Sir Edmund Carey, of Moulton Park.  The barony was called out of abeyance 11 Feb 1913 after almost 336 years in favour of one of the many coheirs of the Barony of Latymer:
