Welcome!

PROGRESS REPORT - JANUARY 2010
One of the aims we set ourselves in 2007 was to look at putting Cracroft's Peerage online.
We have made a start on this project although a lot of work still has to be done on re-formatting
pages so they display properly on the Web. The feedback we have had from users is very
encouraging. The online HTML version, which is a work-in-progress with many articles still to
write, has now taken over from the downloadable WinHelp version of Cracroft's Peerage.
We have decided to make it free of charge to everyone. We will also be updating the website
further over the next few months.

We will continue to make the WinHelp version of Cracroft's Peerage available. Please note that
it will not work with either Windows Vista or Windows 7 unless you download a copy of WinHelp
from the Microsoft website. Microsoft will not allow us to distribute copies of this.

Thank you for visiting our updated and, we hope, improved website.

As you will see from the contents page, Cracroft's Peerage is the complete guide to the British Peerage and Baronetage. It is the only digital source that has accurate listings (and in many cases detailed narrative pedigrees) of all peerages and baronetcies created in the British Isles. Cracroft's Peerage is innovative and technically advanced - and we are always looking at new ideas to enhance the quality and breadth of our information. For example, we are pleased to be continuing in the current release the exciting series on homes, houses and palaces that began in previous releases - such a series of illustrated articles is totally innovative for a peerage reference work and adds to the already established authority of Cracroft's Peerage.

The appeal of a work such as Cracroft's Peerage is not just to people tracing their family histories, but also to:

I hope you enjoy looking around the website. If you have any comments or questions, then please do not hesitate to contact me at info@cracroftspeerage.co.uk. I am always interested in receiving suggestions for new articles or topics to be included in future releases of Cracroft's Peerage.
