According to modern Peerage Law his only child, Maud, succeeded as Baroness Burghersh in her own right on her father's death. She married twice: (1) Walter Paveley (d. 1329), and (2) Sir Thomas d'Aldon. Her descendants, if any, are heirs to the 1303 Barony.
