Quarterly:  1st, Vert a Lion rampant Argent (Hume);  2nd, Sable a Chevron engrailed Ermine between three Trefoils slipped Argent (Loftus);  3rd, Gyronny of eight Argent and Sable a Saltire engrailed between four Fleur-de-lis the stems converging towards the centre all counterchanged (Loftus);  4th, Or a Chevron Gules between three Buglehorns Sable stringed Azure (Crewkern)

Crest:

A Boar's Head erased and erect Argent langued Gules

On either side an Eagle wings inverted charged on the breast with a Trefoil all proper

On the death of the 2nd Earl of Ely the Earldom of Ely became extinct but the Viscountcy of Loftus, etc., passed to his uncle, Hon Henry Loftus, later created 1st Earl of Ely.
