Quarterly:  1st and 4th, Gules a Chevron Ermine between three Eaglets close Argent;  2nd and 3rd, Argent on a Bend Azure three Escallops of the field


An Eagle wings expanded Argent entwined around the neck with a Snake whose tail is waved over his back all proper


On either side an Eagle reguardant Argent with a Snake entwined round the neck as in the Crest

Essex" 20 Jan 1703/4;  Member of Parliament for Maldon 1708-10 and for Essex 1710-22 and 1727-34; he and his sons took the name of Tylney in place of that of Child by Act of Parliament 1734 when his wife inherited the estates of that family
