On the death of the 1st Viscount Tyrconnel the Viscountcy of Tyrconnel and the Baronetcy of Brownlow of Humby became extinct. The estate of Belton Hall was inherited by his only surviving sister, Anne, Lady Cust, widow of Sir Richard Cust, 2nd Bt. Her grandson and heir, Sir Brownlow Cust, 4th Bt., was created Baron Brownlow on 20 May 1776.
