Current English Marquessates

 

Blandford, Marquess of (E, 1702) - the marquessate has been held by the Dukes of Marlborough since 1702, when the 1st Earl of Marlborough was created Marquess of Blandford and Duke of Marlborough

 

Granby, Marquess of (E, 1703) - the marquessate has been held by the Dukes of Rutland since 1703, when the 9th Earl of Rutland was created Marquess of Granby and Duke of Rutland

 

Hartington, Marquess of (E, 1694) - the marquessate has been held by the Dukes of Devonshire since 1694, when the 4th Earl of Devonshire was created Marquess of Hartington and Duke of Devonshire

 

Tavistock, Marquess of (E, 1694) - the marquessate has been held by the Dukes of Bedford since 1694, when the 5th Earl of Bedford was created Marquess of Tavistock and Duke of Bedford

 

Winchester, Marquess of (E, 1551) - the marquessate was held by the Dukes of Bolton from 1689, when the 6th Marquess of Winchester was created Duke of Bolton, until 1794, when the dukedom became extinct and the marquessate was inherited by a distant cousin descended from the 4th Marquess of Winchester

Worcester, Marquess of (E, 1642/3) - the marquessate has been held by the Dukes of Beaufort since 1682, when the 3rd Marquess of Worcester was created Duke of Beaufort
