Wiltshire (by his first wife Laetitia Carre, dau. of William Carre, Groom of the Bedchamber to King James II), 2nd but 1st surv. son of Sir Francis Popham, of Littlecote, co. Wiltshire (by his wife Anne Dudley, dau. of John Dudley, of Stoke Newington, co. Middlesex), and brother of Frances Popham, wife of Edward [Conway], 2nd Viscount Killultagh, mother of Edward [Conway], 1st Earl of Conway, who in 1683 left the greater part of his estates to the sons of Laetitia Popham later Seymour, Lady Seymour
