On the death of the 3rd Earl of Sussex the Earldom of Sussex, the Viscountcy of de Longueville, and the Baronetcy became extinct. He was succeeded as 19th Baron Grey of Ruthin by his grandson, Henry Edward Gould, who took the name of Yelverton in lieu of that of Gould shortly after inheriting the Barony.
