On his death the Baronies of Darcy de Knayth and of Meinill fell into abeyance between his two daughters, Elizabeth, later Lady Strangways, and Margery, later Lady Conyers.  The Barony of Darcy de Knayth was called out of abeyance after 223 years on 10 Aug 1641 when it was confirmed by letters patent on

knighted 1603; by letters patent dated 10 Aug 1641 he was confirmed in the Barony of Darcy de Knayth, and on the following day in the Barony of Conyers, both with remainder to his heirs male.  However, these letters patent were held by the Committee for Privileges of the House of Lords in 1903 to operate as a determination of the abeyances in the old Baronies with their former limitations to heirs general.  The remainder to heirs male was therefore inoperative.

The Baronies of Darcy de Knayth and Conyers were held by the Earls of Holderness from 5 Dec 1682 until 16 May 1778, when on the death of Robert [Darcy], 4th Earl of Holderness, 11th Baron Darcy de Knayth, etc., the Earldom of Holderness became extinct and the baronies passed to his only surviving child:

The Baronies of Darcy de Knayth and Conyers were held by the Dukes of Leeds from 31 Jan 1799 until 4 May 1859, when on the death of Francis Godolphin Darcy [Osborne], 7th Duke of Leeds, 14th Baron Darcy de Knayth, 11th Baron Conyers, etc., the Dukedom of Leeds passed to a cousin and the baronies devolved on his nephew:

On his death the Baronies of Darcy de Knayth and Conyers fell into abeyance between his two daughters, Hon Marcia Amelia Mary Pelham, Countess of Yarborough, and Hon Violet Ida Evelyn Herbert, later Countess of Powis.  The abeyance of the Barony of Conyers was terminated 8 Jun 1892 in favour of his elder dau. and cohrss., the Countess of Yarborough.  On 29 Sep 1903 the abeyance of the Barony of Fauconberg was also terminated in her favour, and on the same date the abeyance of the Barony of Darcy de Knayth was terminated in favour of his younger dau. and cohrss., the Countess of Powis:
